Fabrics + Products

What fabrics do you use?

For our first line of intimates, we chose MicroModal, which is a super soft fabric made from the wood pulp of Beech trees. We only use modal products that have been certified by Lenzing.

What is MicroModal and how sustainable is it?

Micromodal is typically made from the wood pulp of either Eucalyptus or Beech trees. There is some controversy surrounding whether modal is truly a sustainable fabric. Unfortunately not all modal is created equal and some modal-based fabrics have contributed to deforestation, giving the fabric a somewhat shadowy impression. However, at BON+BERG we only used TENCEL Modal, so you can rest assured that the fabrics we use only come from responsibly sourced trees.

Where do your fabrics come from?

All our fabrics are sourced close to our production house in Izmir, Turkey.

Where are your products made?

All are products are made in a small production house in Izmir, Turkey. We chose our partners because they are committed to producing high-quality garments and focused on reducing their environmental footprint.

How do I care for my BON+BERG products?

Our undies can be machine washed on a cool cycle. For our bras, we recommend washing them by hand for the best results but they also do well on a cool, gentle cycle.

Will you be offering more colours and styles in the future?

Yes! As a small brand just starting out, we were limited in what we could do, so we decided to focus on just a few styles in a single colour. This ensured we could make full use of the fabric. The next steps will be to expand both our style and colour range while keeping with our design philosophy.

Fit + Sizing

How do I choose the right bra size?

For our first production, the bras ended up being a little on the snugger side. As a new brand, we’re still learning and wee hope to rectify this in future bra lines. For the moment, we have tried to reflect this in our size guide as accurately as possible. If you are unsure, or you are between sizes, we definitely recommend sizing up. In addition to our size guide, on every product page, you’ll also find specific details about fit. The snug fit leaves some room for the fabric to stretch slightly with washing and wear.

How do your underwear fit?

We've been told our undies are a ‘perfect’ fit! Just be sure to check out our size guide before ordering.

What size range do you cater for?

At BON+BERG, we celebrate women of all shapes and sizes. However, as a brand new company that is focused on sustainability, we were only able to stock our first line of bras and underwear in a limited range of sizes. We currently stock sizes from size S up to XL. If you are outside this range and interested in any of our products, please get in touch and let us know. We will do our best to cater to you in the future.

I have larger breasts, will your bras support me?

It depends! Our styles are minimalist and were designed to promote a more natural barely-there feel,  i.e. no underwire or padding, so we know our styles may not appeal to all women.

While our bras are best suited to women with smaller breasts, they can also work for women with larger breasts, particularly those with a smaller frame. The thick under band and double layer of fabric provides support (realistically up to a D cup) and the minimal cup design enhances the natural contours of the breasts, allowing you to feel comfortable all day long.
